Symbiosis with Nature: The Art of Psychedelic Voyager

As an artist, finding harmony and balance between human creativity and the natural world is essential to my work. This delicate dance of symbiosis is at the heart of my latest project, which combines elements of nature with the human form. In this blog post, I want to share my journey of creating “Ethereal Being” in the enchanting Hollingbury Woods, Brighton.

Rediscovering Nature’s Canvas

Recently, while wandering through the mystical trails of Hollingbury Woods, I stumbled upon a low to the ground tree snag or maybe its a vine. This natural wonder seemed to call out to me, offering a perfect focal point for my upcoming photoshoot. Its gnarled branches evoked a sense of ancient wisdom, and I envisioned using this snag to create ethereal horns on my model—a symbolic merger of human and nature.

With this vision in mind, I planned a photoshoot for this Sunday. Precision is crucial, as I aim to mirror the model’s face in the image to align perfectly with the tree snag. This alignment is essential to bring my artistic concept to life.

Experimentation and Preparation

Last weekend, I took a model to the location for a series of test shots. This was an opportunity to experiment with angles, lighting, and composition. The test images served as a canvas in themselves, allowing me to play around with the final results in Photoshop.

The outcome (image at the top of this post) was interesting and very useful. The tree snag transformed into a  natural woody set of  horns, blending with the human form. This fusion not only captured the essence of my Psychedelic Voyager Art concept but also highlighted the innate connection between humans and nature.

The Journey Continues

As I prepare for the upcoming photoshoot, I am filled with anticipation. The tree snag and other areas in Hollingbury Woods are more than just a natural feature; they will be collaborators in my artistic journey. Through this project, I hope to inspire others to see the world around them with fresh eyes and to appreciate the intricate relationship between humans and nature which seems to be more important than ever.

Navigating New Platforms: A Journey from Facebook Suspension to TikTok Creation

Hello, dear readers and fellow art enthusiasts! Today, I want to share with you an unexpected turn of events in the life of H-Pinkness Photographic Artistry. Recently, both my H-Pinkness.com and Psychedelic Voyager business pages on Facebook were wrongfully suspended. This came as quite a shock and, understandably, has left me feeling a bit skeptical about the whole situation.

The Facebook Suspension Saga

Facebook, in its quest to maintain a safe and secure platform, Is making alot of mistakes. Unfortunately, this time it affected my small business. I was informed that their technology had erroneously flagged my pages, and after diligently filling out the necessary forms to rectify the situation, I was assured that my pages would be visible again within 24 to 48 hours. However, as of now, the suspension still stands, leaving me and my business in a temporary limbo.

For a small business like mine, visibility is crucial. The suspension has certainly been a setback, but I am determined to overcome this hurdle. As I wait for Facebook to reinstate my pages, I’ve decided to embrace new opportunities and explore other platforms.

Embracing TikTok and Video Creation

In light of this situation, I’ve ventured into the world of TikTok. It’s a platform that offers immense potential for creative expression, especially with its focus on short, engaging videos. To enhance my content creation capabilities, I’ve invested in an Insta360 X4 camera. This will allow me to capture stunning images and videos, offering a fresh perspective on my art.

A Serendipitous Adventure

Initially, the day didn’t go as planned. I had intended to visit another location for a leisurely walk, but upon arrival, I found it unexpectedly closed. Not wanting to waste the beautiful day, I decided to head over to Ardingly Reservoir, a local favorite that promised both scenic views and tranquility.

A Companionable Stroll

Accompanying me was Sookie, my spirited lurcher. She eagerly wagged her tail as we made our way along side the reservoir. The promise of an unplanned adventure seemed to excite her as much as it did me. With the sun shining warmly, the two of us embarked on a delightful walk along the water’s edge.

Calling on Local Talent

To bring this vision to life, I have already lined up a few models who will help me explore this concept further. However, the journey is just beginning, and I am on the lookout for more individuals who can embody the spirit of this project. If you’re in the Brighton area and are intrigued by the prospect of becoming part of this creative endeavor, keep an eye out—you might just find yourself holding one of my cards!
